Service Description

Support is crucial for any new family, but particularly to those who transfer to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Few families anticipate treatment in the NICU and each one faces profound and lasting experiences. While there is excitement in welcoming a new baby, it is often accompanied by complicated and contradictory emotions. These experiences can be difficult to address alone or among support groups with those unfamiliar to the NICU. This group serves families at any stage of their NICU experience. Support among participants with shared experiences provides a safe space to explore the needs of their families, including: Developmental Milestones At-Home Care Promotion of Bonding Physical, Mental, and Emotional Needs of Caregivers. Participants meet for one-hour sessions for six (6) consecutive weeks. Classes for this series are one (1) hour long, held once a week for six (6) consecutive weeks. Call, Text or Email to Join!
